I can't believe they voted out Yau-Man............... he was my favorite player ever.............. now I don't know if this season is even worth watching................ I liked Cirie, too......... they shouldn't have voted him out.......... that makes me so mad at her.................
All I've done since I got here is watch TV and stay in my room............. I haven't heard from my doctor yet............ has anyone?

I can't believe James was voted out............ He had two hidden immunity idols! Now they can't be played! I was waiting for him to pull it out and have Todd get sent home on PG's vote.............. Even though I don't like PG, it would've been cool to see that happen............ what a boring move.......!!!!!!!!
And next week it looks like they're going to try to vote out Todd.......... that's stupid............... 'cause I like Todd........... and I don't like any of the others.......... so I don't know who I want to win after that...........
This season wasn't very good...........

I think I like watching Survivor in the middle of the night. Alden seems like a pretty cool guy......... But mostly I like the peacefulness of being in the common room with almost no one......... just two big guys hanging out together......... Yeah...... nice to have a friend who really understands................

There's a nurse that works here Thursday nights that I've kind of made friends with........ I've been skipping Survivor the past few weeks because I just really hate watching them in the common room with so many people around........... I wish we had TVs in our rooms......... so no one would bug us.........
Anyway, Alden promised he'd tape Survivor and CSI for me, and then we're gonna watch them together when he comes on his shift at 11:30............ I thought that was really nice of him......... he says he doesn't mind...... guys like us have to stick together, you know?

Ashley got voted off of Survivor. I missed it last week, so I'm not sure who got voted off...... I just didn't want to come out to the common room... but Thursday it was unoccupied........ so I watched....
Anyway................ Ashley didn't thrill me. She was kind of a bitch.
On Zhan Hu so far I like Frosti and Sherea. Sherea made me laugh..........
In the red tribe (forget their name) I like Todd..... he's devious.... and James, the gravedigger..... he's pretty cool. He's quiet, I like that...... but it might hurt his game. I think Todd has a pretty good chance of winning........... I like Denise, too, but I don't think she'll make it very far............ I really don't like Courtney at all....... she's a bitch.......... I think it must be a survivor curse that people named Courtney are really annoying.............. Oh well..........
Hopefully next week they can just vote her off.............
This entry was pretty pointless......

I got my first online journal a few years ago............. my sister showed me one on a website called 'greatestjournal' so I made one. I never made public entries though.......... I guess I just didn't want people to read them........but they're really great places to put your thoughts down........ and no one can make fun of you for things that they can't read.........
I've been here for two weeks and three days......... I haven't really talked to anyone in that time........ I talked with Lynne and some other girl for a little bit........ but I didn't stick around.......... then I met with my therapist a few days ago............. I guess she's nice............... she's really pretty and she has a nice smile.............
I think there's a way to make these entries private but I haven't figured it out yet............ I'm just too lazy I guess...........
I still haven't talked to my roommate........... I've seen him a few times but we haven't really said anything.......... I can see why he wouldn't want to talk to me, though......... I guess I shouldn't be surprised............

Wow, here I am............. I've never been in a mental institution before......... When I was a kid I saw a counselor after my mom died...... He was a funny old man and was really cheerful but I don't remember anything we really talked about..................... I was only eight. I guess my eight year old memory is not that good......... I wonder if the doctors here are anything like my counselor from back then.........
Anyway, my name is King........ I guess there's no beating around the bush 'cause you'll all find out sooner rather than later, 'cause I'm pretty hard to miss........ but I'm the fat guy. Yeah, I know. I might as well just bite the bit and accept my fate......

The first thing that anyone ever notices about King is that he is a big guy. Of course, this is the last thing that King wants you to notice, but he can’t help that it is. All other features about him aren’t really worth mentioning. His skin is pale, he has lots of freckles, and his hair and eyes are standard, boring brown. He tends to wear big clothes, the bigger, the better. Loose-fitting clothes hide at least some of his fat, right? He also prefers dark colors to light.
Some of King’s happiest memories are of the times before his mother died. When King and his sister were children, Mary spoiled her children relentlessly. She was a baker at her parent’s bakery and often let her children come with her on Sundays to make bread and muffins. King loved sifting the flower and kneading the dough. King’s father was always a bit distant, but he wouldn’t understand why until much later. The man was a drinker, and his parents often fought at night, after he and Ruthie had gone to bed.
When he was 8 years old, his mother died in a car crash. It wasn’t even a horrific car crash that they could blame on someone else, just a car crash that was not in Mary’s favor. King’s father raised his children for barely another hear before dumping them off on Mary’s parents, leaving the whole family behind for a skinnier woman and a six pack of Corona light.
After that, King’s life was pretty uneventful. Grandma Ruth still let him and his sister work at the bakery on Sundays if they wanted, but they were hesitant to take her up on the offer. Ruthie and King had a particularly close bond, having been the only support for each other in the year that they had lived alone with their father. Ruthie was everything King was not… she was lean where he was tubby, she was loud where he was quiet, and she was active where he was lazy. King always looked up to her and didn’t believe that she looked up to him, too.
When King was accepted to Rhode Island College, he got his first apartment. Three years later, Ruthie moved in with him. Ruthie brought with her a handful of pets, which King grew really close to. Unlike people, pets didn’t judge you for the way you looked or acted. Before Ruthie moved in, King had a beta fish. After Ruthie moved in, they had two ferrets, a beagle pup, a parakeet, and a tarantula named Voldemort.
Growing up was hard for King. Taking after his mother, he was always overweight. Children can be vicious, and in King’s case, he was the one that always got picked on in class to do his large size. He has always been the biggest… Always picked last in gym class, always the last person someone would want to be with in a group project, and always the guy that ate lunch by himself.
King spent a lot of his childhood at home. He lost touch with his only real friend, Matthew, when he moved in with his grandparents. After that, he and his sister, Ruthie, only grew closer. His grandparents were very loving, and always tried to provide their grandchildren with whatever they asked for. King’s life was not elaborate, nor was it too sparse. He always had a full plate of food at every meal, and always had a warm bed to sleep in and a back yard to play in. At an early age, he began collecting and building model trains, cars, and airplanes. After moving in with his grandparents, he and Poppop John began building a model railroad in the basement, and they have been working on it ever since.
King’s grades suffered in Jr. High School, namely because of his poor self-image and his self-consciousness. Eventually, he withdrew enough that he could focus on his studies rather than the taunts of his classmates. But even when they weren’t taunting, after they’d grown tired of it and it got boring, King was imagining that they were. After finally graduating high school, King went to Rhode Island College to obtain a liberal arts degree. He never felt that he’d excel in any one field, so he never attempted anything specific.
One thing that he could rely on was piano. He started taking lessons just months after moving in with his grandparents. Eventually, when he was sixteen, he was able to take a job at his local Methodist church as an organist. Althought it was never of great importance to him, he’d been going to the church since he was a child along with his grandparents. The previous organist had just gotten married and moved away. King stepped up to the opportunity at the insistence of his sister, and while it was nerve racking, he soon learned that hiding behind an organ wasn’t so bad after all. He kept this job through the rest of high school and college, and even now that he is out of college, he still works as an organist. Unfortunately, King knows that this job cannot support him for the rest of his life, and he is at loss as to what else he could possibly do.
His life seems to be at a stand still. King still lives with his sister while she is in college, but his organ job is not pulling in enough money to really get anywhere. His anxiety about his appearance and the way people feel about him seems to have increased with every passing year. Once Ruthie moved in, he was able to con her into doing a lot of things for him. King never goes grocery shopping, or out to restaurants, or anywhere involving food. He pays Ruthie money to do these things for him.
King has grown to depend on the internet as a source for news and entertainment. He has an online journal, as well as a myspace, and several other networking websites. He founds his apartment through craigslist, and has found several job opportunities, but simply cannot muster the courage to apply for them. After all, who would hire such a fat, lazy slob... right?
Which brings us to the present. King leaves his apartment only to go to work, which his sister has to talk him into on a daily basis. The only people he talks to are family members, and he's even neglected letters from his only childhood friend, Matthew, as if the other boy could see his fatness through his writing. He has anxiety about not having enough money, but can't bring himself to apply for another job, and he knows that while his grandparent's are there for him now, they won't be forever, just like his parents. After all, his dad left because of him... right?

Parents:
Mother’s full name Mary Diane Webster
What kind of person was she? Like her son, Mary was a large person. However, Mary never let her weight get her down. She was a very determined and happy person. She was an excellent cook and everyone adored her cooking. She was the type of person to cheer someone up with a plateful of cookies and a tall glass of milk.
How old is she, if she is still alive? Mary died when King was 8 years old, in a car accident. It wasn’t even a horrific car crash that they could blame on someone else, just a car crash that was not in Mary’s favor.
What did she do for a living? She worked at her parent's a bakery. She did most of the cooking since her parents were getting older.
What kind of relationship did your character have with her? While alive, Mary pampered her son. She bred into him a sincere love of food and the way it is prepared. She tried to teach him never to be ashamed of himself, but died before those values could really be instilled.
How did she feel about your character’s father? She loved him very much, but was often discouraged by his drinking problems. Mary did not believe in divorce, so she would never be put off by her husband’s cruel words.
What was she good at as a parent? Providing, helping with schoolwork, getting the kids where they needed to be on time, always being there when they needed someone to talk to.
What was she bad at? Saying no. Even when she knew what her children were asking for was wrong, or if they didn't have enough money, or any other outstanding circumstance, Mary had a hard time looking them in the eye and saying no. The closest to no she could manage was "Ask your father," which more or less meant the same thing.
What is a good memory your character has of his/her mother? King’s favorite memory is that on Sunday mornings she would let him come to the bakery with her, and was allowed to help her make bread. He loved kneading and rolling dough, and sifting flour.
Bad? Obviously her death is a bad memory. Most of King’s memories of Mary are tarnished, and he often blames her for his obesity.
What is your character’s father’s full name? King David Webster III
What kind of person is/was he? Definitely the man of the house. Ruled with a stern, cold fist and drank every night. He managed all of the money and often squandered it on booze. He liked to have Friday night poker parties and watch the football games in the afternoon.
How old is he, if he is still alive? 45
What did he do for a living? King worked as the director of commissions for an electric company. No one is sure what he does now.
What kind of relationship does he have with your character? Not a very good one, at all. King III sends his children cards two times a year: at Christmas and on their birthdays. The last time he visited, King IV was 18. It wasn’t a pleasant visit, consisting of a screaming match between father and daughter, while son hid away in his room.
How did he feel about your character’s mother? King admits he felt stuck with her. He was, after all, a king, and deserved better than a fat baker. Unfortunately alcohol was what got her pregnant at a college party, and married her out of duty. They fought often, especially when he was drunk. He did love Mary at one time, but his fascination with her died quickly.
What was he good at as a parent? He was good at putting his foot down so that his children didn’t get too spoiled.
What was he bad at? Being there. He resented having children at such an early age, so he was a very distant parent.
What is a good memory your character has of his/her father? Sometimes when King was little, his father would let him sit on his lap and they would watch football games together. They never spoke, but it was understood that this was a very special occasion and was sacredly silent.
Bad? King walked out on his family when his son was 9 years old. He left his two children with Mary’s parents, and ran off with a new (thinner) woman and a six pack.
How did your character’s parents meet? College
What kind of wedding did they have? Short, fast, private. Mary was 4 months pregnant and starting to show.
What kind of marriage did they have? At first everything was fine. Mary was happy and dropped out of college. She was more than content to be a housewife, and was working at her own parent’s bakery. At first King was a decent, however distant, father. Even when he started drinking more and more Mary stuck by him.
Siblings:
How many siblings does your character have? One
What was your character’s birth order in relation to any siblings? King is the oldest.
Full name: Ruth “Ruthie” Marie Webster
What kind of person is she? Ruthie looks more like her father than King does. She is leaner and more muscular. She’s a bit of a tomboy and has a very pleasant, funny disposition. She likes playing tricks and singing loudly. She wants to be an actress or a singer. Ruthie is everything King was not… she was lean where he was tubby, she was loud where he was quiet, and she was active where he was lazy.
How old is he/she? Nineteen
What does he/she do for a living? She’s a college student at Rhode Island College
What kind of relationship did he/she have with your character? Ruthie & King have always had a very close relationship, probably because they had to rely on each other as children. After their mother died, King became very protective of his five-year-old sister. For about a year they had only each other and their father. Ruthie has always looked up to her brother and relied on him even after moving in with their grandparents. King has always looked up to Ruthie because of who she is.
How did he/she feel about your character? Ruthie thinks King is way too hard on himself. She always tries to cheer him up and get him to look on the bright side of life. Even though Ruthie never got to know her mother, a lot of people are quick to compare their personalities, although Ruthie is really not much of a cook at all.
How often did he/she fight with your character? They had their occasional sibling spats, but nothing out of the ordinary. For the most part they got along well. King even played dolls with Ruthie from time to time. Ruthie's worst memory of fighting with King is one time when he yelled, "You don't understand 'cause you're not fat!"
What does your character like about this sibling? She’s very cheerful, and always knows how to make him smile. She's also very reliable and family oriented, despite not being restricted to her family because of her weight.
Dislike? Ruthie got all the lucky breaks in the family. He worries that she’s only nice to him out of guilt and duty. King would be lying if he didn't admit that he is green with envy when it comes to Ruthie.
What is a good memory your character has of this sibling? Playing card games on New Year’s Eve with Ruthie and their grandparents. They always bet pennies and drank sparkling cider while watching the ball drop on CNN.
Bad memory? When Ruthie got her first boyfriend (she was sixteen) she and King fought for several months until the ultimate break up. King was more than sure that Ruthie hated him because he was too fat, and simply couldn't accept that Ruthie needed other people in her life, too.
Grandparents
Full names: Poppop John & Grandma Ruth Norton
What kind of people are they? As Mary's parents, it is easy to tell where their daughter got her sweet disposition. Ruth & John are your typical, adorable old couple, and they love their grandchildren relentlessly.
How old are they? Ruth is 61, John is 65.
What did they do for a living? Ruth & John took over Ruth's family bakery after the death of her parents, and still own it today.
What kind of relationship doe they have with your character? While Grandma Ruth & Poppop John have always been there for King, and been as supportive as they could be, King always remained distant from them. He often felt that they were only nice to him because they had to be. After all, if his own father couldn't stick around because of family ties, how long could he count on his grandparents? Any day they might decide that he's too fat and they don't want to deal with him anymore...
How did they feel about your character’s parents? Obviously they loved their own daughter, but never cared much for King. The Nortons were such a cheerful family that it was difficult to love a cold and distant man like King.
What is a good memory your character has of his grandparents? Every year on New Year's eve, they play card games and bet pennies or candy while watching the CNN program.
Bad? King once overheard his grandparent's fighting about how to deal with the money to raise their grandchildren. It really had nothing to do with King, but he blamed himself for causing trouble in the family.

Any day they might decide that he's too fat and they don't want to deal with him anymore...How did they feel about your character’s parents? Obviously they loved their own daughter, but never cared much for King. The Nortons were such a cheerful family that it was difficult to love a cold and distant man like King.
What is a good memory your character has of his grandparents? Every year on New Year's eve, they play card games and bet pennies or candy while watching the CNN program.
Bad? King once overheard his grandparent's fighting about how to deal with the money to raise their grandchildren. It really had nothing to do with King, but he blamed himself for causing trouble in the family.

Full Name: King David Webster IV
Where did the name originate? Why did the parents choose this name? It’s a family name. His family was once very wealthy and their bloodline and reputation was very important. Perhaps a very righteous couple in the late 1800s named their first son King. It has been a tradition ever since to name the first born son King.
Does he/she like his/her name? Why? No, King hates his name with a fiery passion. This mostly stems from the fact that he hates the way he looks, and in no way feels like he is a king. It has also made him target to teasing, especially as a young child.
Nicknames (if applicable): Burger King, King David, K.D.
Where did he/she get the nicknames? Burger King was something that other children teased him with; because he has always hated his weight, it made him feel very self conscious. King David is his first and middle name, also the name of a famous King. For some time King tried to get people to call him "K.D." because King made him feel self-conscious. This back-fired when people started calling him Katie.
Date of Birth & Age: January 3, 1985 & 22
Where was he/she born? Warwick, RI
Did your character grow up there? Yes, King has never lived anywhere else, although he has moved around the area quite a bit.
Sex: Male
Heritage: Some English and Scottish blood, but the Webster line goes back very far in American history, and is traceable back as far as the late 1700s. None of his heritage really stands out.
What cultural aspects did your character’s parents value, if any? His parents/grandparents don’t really value any particular cultural aspects from their ancestry.
Socioeconomic Level as a child: Lower Middle Class. Although King's father came from an upper middle class family, he was reluctant to pass any of this money on to his children.
How did this affect his/her upbringing? King lived a very moderate lifestyle. His grandparents bought him things and spoiled him a bit, but there were a lot of times that they had to say no.
What kind of toys did he/she get from parents? He collected matchbox cars, and also loved model trains, airplanes and cars.
Socioeconomic Level as an adult: Lower Middle Class, still. He now lives in an apartment that he shares with his sister. For the most part he can support himself, but still receives some help from his grandparents.
What kind of house does he/she live in? He grew up in a generic, split-level home with three bedrooms, one bathroom, a eat-in kitchen, living room, and basement that doubles as a study. The apartment he lives in now is a two-bedroom, one bathroom, half of a house. He and Ruthie share the rent, which is about 800 dollars a month plus utilities.
What style does he/she decorate? King’s grandmother does most of the decorating. He doesn’t pay much attention. Mostly that consists of cheerful colors, like yellows and pale blues. At the apartment, they have odds and ends that they've either taken from their grandparent's house or bought cheap, so there is no decorating theme.
Where is the house located? Both are located in Warwick, RI, about ten miles apart.
What other (if any) places has your character lived? He's lived in three places, but all in Warwick, RI. The first was with his parents, the second with his grandparents, and the third in his own apartment.
What kind of accessories does he/she like to keep around? King has a collection of model trains, cars, and airplanes displayed on the desk and dresser in his bedroom. The only other trinket he has ever valued is a pocket watch that he took from his father's bedroom after his father walked out.
What financial habits does your character have? Does he/she routinely buy certain things?</b> Because he was teased so much as a child, King tries to avoid fast food restaurants, although he will admit he likes a tasty burger from time to time. He only eats these when he can convince his younger sister to go in and pick it up for him. He also despises grocery shopping, and tends to make her do that as well. King will provide all of the money if Ruthie will just go inside and buy those things for him.
What are your character’s short-term goals (within the next year)? To lose weight. This is always King’s goal, but he never seems to accomplish it.
What are your character’s long-term goals (within the next several years?) Find a girlfriend, find a job, be happy
What does your character want to accomplish before dying? To be thin and have people like him.
What mode of transportation does your character use to get around? He has a van that he owns and bought himself. He’s good with money and has a decent credit score. This is the second car he’s owned (he outgrew the first one). The first car was a Ford Taurus, which he gave to his sister on her 16th birthday. The second is a dark blue conversion van.
